Just these good ol' days

I came across this video today. It is SO cute how nervous he gets as he continues to talk.

David is hilarious of course I was going to say YES!! Actually I didn't even say yes. I said OF COURSE. David asked me to marry him in such a creative way. We have been married for 3 weeks and everything has gone beautifully. People say the peacefulness wont last, but if we go to the temple and always remember the promises we made to one another that day, I don't see why it cant be easy. Too bad I'm so naive eh? Trust me, I know my thoughts are crazy. MY POINT: WE ARE EXTREMELY HAPPY!!! (right david?) hahaha

Our Memorial Day Celebration!!!

Getting into Fredricksburg!!! Its a quaint town with lots to see and do, about 2 hours from Austin.

David looks excited posing with this war artifact (excuse me for not knowing the name).

Driving there. I look stoooopid. But, I have little shame. It's okay to look like a fool.
It's a DANGED ARMADILLA! We saw a ton of these dead on the side of the road. It grossed us out and we had little if any, sympathy. We also saw road kill Raccoons. But we had sympathy for them, it actually made us quite sad. We think the difference is the fur. Armadillo's are just ugly.

One of the boutiques had a ton of hats in it. David tried to look cute and genuine, I just tried to look classy. I believe only the former was correct.

A creepy man was looking at me while David took this picture. Probably one of my most awkward "smiles" because of it. It was fun though.

My favorite part about this picture is his hand ^ the ring!!! I still cant believe we are married. He has attractive hands.

Just a pose. POSERS!!!

Heading back towards our car to travel back home. We had a really great time. It's a German town so there was a lot of German foods and what not. They had a really neat bookstore and even a magic shop. Successful Memorial Day Weekend an A++ in my book.

Like U Crazy!

Sometimes I wonder if the humidity for David and being caged in a tiny apartment for me, has done anything for our sanity. Or at this point, lack there of.
I'm starting to lose my mind.
It's been five days now where david leaves for 9 hours with little or no contact with me at all. My job has yet to start, so I have been trying to entertain myself here at our new abode. I'm doing a very poor job at that. I clean every day, but we are relatively tidy kids so there is little to clean. Yesterday I decided to not do anything. I put the Thank You cards aside, and watched 4 episodes of Greys Anatomy and sadly to say 2 episodes of The Bachelor. I dont know who made that decision for me because I clearly could not have done so myself. I dont even watch tv, let alone something of poor quality and entertainment such as "the bachelor." I thought I was going to kill over at any minute yet I couldnt stop watching. Luckily, just in time, David came home.

He wanted take me to dinner to our favorite place Texas Roadhouse. Since we were in Texas now, we both found it very appropriate and exciting. Unfortunately, David gets home quite late, and they were just closing. No worries....we went to sonic instead!

Maybe today I'll learn how to crochet....or figure out what on EARTH we are going to do for the family reunion talent show. oh man.

Life is like a bowl of oranges...

On our travels.... This is a picture that i took when we stopped off to use a Wells Fargo. It is known as Magdelena, New Mexico. I suggest you visit there if you are looking for a horrible time with nothing to do other than watch creepy people wander the windy broken roads.

David was such a trooper. My hero. My mancub. He drove almost the entire way to Austin, Texas. With all our bathroom stops and our little lunchbreak at McDonalds our trip took us over 16 hours. But it was a great trip. We listened to a book on cd called The Peacegiver. Its great for anyone. I loved it. David loves his sunglasses but i would sadly, and embarrassingly say they are too big for his face. Please, SOMEONE agree with me. ha.

Once we got there, we crashed. We gained two hours in Austin, which is weird for me to adjust to. And it doesnt get dark till after nine, which means my husband doesnt get home till almost ten. Its been a pretty boring two days with him at work, but im getting a lot of good reading done. David is doing well. He might have a deal close on monday. So keep him in your prayers. He is a lot more confident in himself i think this summer, which is wonderful. I, myself got a job today. I will be working at Smart Cleaners. Its a dry cleaning place that is opening next week. Its really neat, all automated and there is a drive thru. The owner claimed it was the McDonalds of dry cleaners. I get to work full time and manage the front, which is code for "no dirty work." It was such a blessing. It was the first place I went to and he practically just handed me the job. Im really excited for this and for us. It will be great. This picture below is the view from our 3rd story balcony around 8pm. Everything is so green and beautiful.

This entry is ordinary and most definitely bordinary. Not to mention, I mentioned McDonalds twice in my blog (make that three), who does that?

Here comes the bride...all worried and a fright

And so it begins...the maccaroni and cheese dinners and early nights. David and I are married now. No need to stay up late and go on just a little too over priced dates. We have been in the promises of matrimony for a little over three days now and its been more than wonderful. We took the plunge on May 10, 2008 and guess what? It almost didn't happen. With complications of much needed documentation (or lack there of- David), our wedding ceremony itself was actually postponed. As I sat bawling my freshly made up eyes out waiting for the verdict, David's wonderful family (and now one he so willingly shares with me) kept me as distracted as they could. After much frustration and uneasy anxiety David came walking towards me with two thumbs held up towards Heaven above signaling we were good to go. And so it continued...The wedding was beautiful and the reception was lovely and very successful. Thanks family Gentry and family Garner/Marquez for all your selfless help, love and support. WE DID IT!!!
