This last week....

So upon request I am posting again. I'm trying to make it sound like im really liked. First, David and I got our hairs cut. I like my "edgy" bangs and I like his lack of hair...the hair color will take some time to get used to.

My boss and I were closing up shop and then these two police cars pulled up. They got some guy out of a car, searched him and his car. They talked to him forever and I really didnt really want to just go strolling outside to my car. I'm a bit dramatic and tend to exagerate...so naturally I thought i was going to die. He was white and young with a gross gotee so that could only mean one thing...drug posession (not stereotyping, im 99.9% positive on my assumption). So I walked outside and drove home. So brave. Unfortuantely for my boss his car was the red one in between the cop cars. Who knows when he got to leave. Poor guy. Just another oh so exciting day at work.

Pen Beats!

David just continues to surprise me. Although they did this really late one night so we most definitely got a visit from our neighbor below us. After he made sure that no one was hurt, or whatever he came upstairs to talk to us for, he came back five minutes later and asked us if we had any beer, cuz he saw girls (me and then one other, who is way prego, mind you) and assumed we were having a party. Ha oh texans!

This is what we have been up to

so this is austin............

i look like a boy, and apparently david is thinking i have cooties.

This robot chopped me in the back and "it" followed us down the street. hated it.

cupcake anyone? we had a great time down congress avenue. same street you can see the bats. they keep all the great shops open till late every first thursday of the month. the shops were so neat, and there were a ton of people just doing there own thing playing whatever music they felt and just jammed all night. perfect.

Oasis

There were a ton of cool statues around The Oasis...

...this was daves favorite.

This is our house plant. David named him Doug. Ugliest name you can name your plant but its not a cute plant so i let it slide.

I'm just itching for him to get new sunglasses. His other ones are TOO BIG (David they are too big).

There was a cupcake stand, they only had vanilla left but it was the greatest cupcake in the world.

No offense Kellen

Zee couple ready to go out for our 1 month anniversary. Are those even real?

The Oasis. I felt like i was in a different country. It was amazing. It can hold 1800 people.

Just us at The Oasis...known for the sunset and view, not the food. Although we found the food rather tasty!

David was taking pictures, I was taking pictures of Daveeed.

The sunset is beautiful. I cant decide which one is better...Texas or Arizona? (these both being texas of course)

CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES!!

WELCOME TO CLEAN SMART CLEANERS!!! This is where I work every day. Surprisingly, I have never loved a job more. These pictures are from our Grand Opening Celebration. We had cookies, cake, juice, krispy kremes, and a raffle for free dry cleaning for our customers that day. We also had a raffle for an autographed football and baseball from Texas teams. I would personally much rather win the free dry cleaning (but i get that anyway).
Cute cake with hangers and buttons. How nice....

This is David and I with one of the owners John Nguyen (pronounced WIN) and his girlfriend Mary of six years, who's last name happens to be Nguyen as well. I guess it's a pretty common last name in Vietnam. Like Smith would be in the U.S. They are way cool and young so they show us the "cool" things to do in Austin. David and I love them. It's pretty great having a chill boss who is only a few years older (sorry the picture is blurry..his mom Thu took the pic in a flash, no pun intended ha ha dumb).

Rachel/Raquel and I got to wear these wonderful "WE <3 OUR CUSTOMERS" shirts on the special day. I enjoyed it. Rachel is way cool and very entertaining. "girl how 'bout this right...so my babys daddy is a crazy foo'..." -raquel espisomething

Just some clothes from the back. It's way too hot in the back and way too intense for me. The machines are like Robots.

I'M NOT EVEN KIDDING THIS IS SO FUNNY. One of John's aunts (he had tons of family here for the grand opening) put their kid on our tile floor in the breakroom to take a nap....

....so I took advantage.

There was a BBQ and everything. It was fun and tiring and I conquered my sinophobia. I think. Pretty successful day if you ask me.

Second Time Can Be A Charm!

We attempted going into Austin again. First time was a bust. We must have been misinformed about the "downtown" area. No one told us going to Austin on a Wednesday morning, would be a little more than a complete waste of time. Boring and for some reason...nothing was going on that day. Who would have known ;)This time around we used our brains. We went on a weekend. To see the bats fly from Congress Avenue Bridge. If you haven't heard of what this is all about check this site out http://www.batcon.org/home/index.asp?idPage=122. It's actually really interesting and by far one of the coolest experiences we've had together. There were over a million bats flying within seconds of one another just a few feet away from us. Amazing!
